Chicken Mozzarella Pasta

A deliciously cheesy chicken pasta dish that combines tender chicken, flavorful mozzarella, and al dente pasta for a comforting meal.

  • 2 cups penne pasta
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced chicken and season with garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook until the chicken is browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.
  4. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet, stirring to combine with the chicken.
  5. Mix in the cooked pasta and half of the mozzarella cheese.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and sprinkle the remaining mozzarella on top.
  7. Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding fresh basil or parsley as a garnish.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
