Crockpot Butter Chicken

A delicious and easy recipe for homemade butter chicken made in a crockpot.

  • 2 pounds chicken thighs
  • 1 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 1 can (14 oz) coconut milk
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place chicken thighs in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, combine onion, garlic, ginger, coconut milk, garam masala, turmeric, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4 hours.
  5. Once done, stir in butter and chopped cilantro before serving.
