  • 4 cups sliced onions
  • 1 cup turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup chicken ham, diced
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 8 slices of baguette

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy.
  2. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
  3. Stir in the chicken ham and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in the beef broth and water, add thyme, salt, and pepper.
  5. Simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Preheat your oven to broil.
  7. Place the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast until golden.
  8. In soup bowls, layer the soup with a slice of toasted baguette and sprinkle with Gruyère cheese.
  9. Broil until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Serve hot.
