  • 500g strong white bread flour
  • 7g instant yeast
  • 75g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 300ml warm water
  • 50ml milk
  • 50g butter, melted
  • 1 jar your favorite jam
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the flour, yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warm water, milk, and melted butter, mixing until a dough forms.
  3. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Let the dough rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
  6. Once risen, punch down the dough and spread it onto a greased baking sheet.
  7. Make small wells in the dough using your fingers and fill each with a spoonful of jam.
  8. Let the dough rest for another 30 minutes, then bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  9. Allow to cool, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
