  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for frosting)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Allow it to foam for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add melted butter, eggs, and vanilla to the yeast mixture and stir to combine.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients until a dough forms.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1 hour.
  6. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread melted butter over it, and sprinkle cinnamon and brown sugar.
  7. Roll into a log and cut into individual rolls.
  8. Place rolls in a baking dish and let them rise again for about 30 minutes.
  9. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  10. For the frosting, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk until smooth, then spread over warm rolls.

Notes

  • For an extra gooey texture, add more brown sugar to the filling.
  • Let the rolls cool slightly before frosting to maintain the texture.
