- 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the diced onion.
- In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, followed by the beef mixture, and half of the cheese.
- Repeat with the remaining potatoes, beef, and cheese.

- Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
